NOTE: This week we have another Group Walk
Details can be found here.
Plymouth Bladder and Kidney Cancer Support Group!
Have you received a diagnosis of either bladder or kidney cancer? Would you find it helpful to talk to someone local about it and your experiences? It can feel very lonely as a patient or a carer at such times. All of us in the group, men and women, have been affected by these cancers, either as a patient or as one of their close family or friends. We would be very pleased to meet up with you, talk to you and welcome you to events if you wish. We may be having different treatments, be at different stages and have different reactions but we have all had a cancer diagnosis. We don’t offer medical advice; we are patients and close supporters who have found it helpful to talk to people who find themselves in a similar situation.
As you might expect, our regular monthly meetings have been disrupted by Covid-19 and we are still trying to re-establish a rhythm. We are hoping to continue with our current mix of Zoom meetings so people can join in who can’t come to face-to-face meetings and the latter. We arrange to have talks by medical and other specialists, we also get out on walks and trips. Check this website for details of events. If you want to contact us please e-mail bcsg.derriford@virginmedia.com and one of the members will get back to you.
